Before the start of the Lakeside Rodeo on Friday evening, Madi Deskovick sang the national anthem — and just before the end of the three-day rodeo on Sunday, the 13-year-old Mountain Valley Academy seventh-grader posted the fastest junior barrel race time to win the 3D division.
