An early spring swell and strong winds out of the west-northwest will produce large waves and strong rip currents along the San Diego County coastline Thursday and Friday. But it won't be a pretty picture for surfers. The winds will roil the water, creating "Victory at Sea" conditions. And it'll be cold. Thursday's daytime high in San Diego will only reach 67. And sea surface temperatures are still in the 58 to 62 degree range, said the National Weather Service.
