Mixed-use project approved for downtown Del Mar

A mixed-use commercial and residential project has been approved for one of the last vacant parcels in Del Mar's downtown village area, over the objections of neighbors who said the proposed building will obstruct their ocean views.

Solana Beach district will not pursue eighth school in Pacific Highlands Ranch

The Solana Beach School District board has opted not to move forward with building an eighth school in Pacific Highlands Ranch in order to handle the influx of students coming from accelerated home-building in the community. 

Solana Beach council to draft letter opposing resort project

In an effort to protect residents from feared increased traffic, decreased property values and blocked coastal views, the Solana Beach City Council unanimously agreed to draft a resolution informing the City of Del Mar that they oppose a resort project in Del Mar's far northwestern region.
