Jan 30, 2018  BREAKING NEWS  Utility customers win $775 million back from San Onofre deal criticized as lopsided against them Tuesday, January 30, 2018, 8:35 PM ET By Jeff McDonald Plant owners and consumer attorneys have struck a bargain in the long-running dispute over who pays for the failure of the San Onofre nuclear plant. The agreement would save consumers $775 million through February 2022. The deal, which requires California Public Utilities Commission approval, would end a federal lawsuit filed in 2014 by San Diego law firm Aguirre & Severson.
